How can we download IMM form that was submitted during Visitor Visa application?

Hello Everyone, I wanted to help a friend.
We want to download and see the IMM5257 form submitted during his visitor visa application. He applied last year and we have got the response too. It seems he was rather confused about the form and documents he submitted during his application. Is there a way to download or request it somehow?

Request via GCMS Notes or ATIP (Access to Information and Privacy Request)

If your friend applied from outside Canada (like most visitor visa applicants), they can’t directly request their application file themselves unless they are in Canada or a Canadian citizen/permanent resident.


But you (or any friend in Canada) can help them by requesting their file on their behalf.
