Hi,
I am planning to apply for a PR renewal and I would have around 740 days of physical presence in Canada by the time of the application. Would there be issues if I leave for a long stay (few months) in the US as soon as I submit the application? I will still be meeting the RO in the next 45 days after submission as the dates are rolling. I have an address in Canada but in case I am called to pick it up.

Thank you for your help.

That is incredibly risky. You need a larger buffer time. You can still be asked to pick up the card in person if IRCC confirms you are currently not in Canada. Would suggest applying for PR and only leaving once you have secured your new PR card. If you will be out of compliance after 45 days but plan on leaving Canada for months you will be out of compliance when you return to Canada so also not a great plan.
