Speculation: How Long Until IRCC Removes Job Offer Points?

Fact: Now that the CRS calculator no longer factors in valid job offers, it's only a matter of time before IRCC officially removes those 50 points from the candidate pool. However, this could happen at any point within the next 90 days, and the impact on future draw cutoffs remains uncertain.

I know everything else we say here is just speculation, but hey - why not speculate? What do you think will happen? Could an update be tied to the next CEC draw, and is that why it’s taking so long? Any chance the scheduled system maintenance next Tuesday has something to do with this? And could we see IRCC focusing on more CEC draws this year, with LMIA fraud concerns out of the way?

I still have a small hope that I might not be affected since my job offer is LMIA-exempt. I just gained 50 points from my closed work permit this month, bringing me to 528 points, but I’m already coming to terms with the idea of having to resume my French studies...

My 50 points haven't been removed yet… The announcement does mention that it could take a few days for the score to update, but I'm still holding onto a blind hope, either for another CEC draw before the update is fully rolled out (less likely, I guess), or for an exception for LMIA-exempt offers to keep their points... I haven't found anything from IRCC specifically addressing LMIA-exempt job offers, just immigration consultants stating that the change applies to them as well (and I guess that's the most reasonable interpretation of the official wording).

The change was effective March 25th. Even if there was a draw today, you would no longer be entitled to the points.
