TRV From Inside Canada - Normal Processing Time Has Passed

My counterfoil for the TRV visa was generated on January 31, 2025, but I am still waiting for the tracking number to be activated! Is anyone else in the same situation? How long does it usually take to receive the passport back after counterfoil generation? Why is IRCC so slow? It’s just a simple passport!

me. application was approved on 19th feb. Passport sent 25th feb. Still waiting for the printed stamp. Is it normal? Should i contact IRCC?

Still waiting for PPR after applying for a Temporary Resident Visa after my study permit extension Approval within Canada
I applied for temporary resident visa within Canada after my study permit extension got approved on feb. I got my correspondence letter on March first week but no passport request letter. I am bit worried as PPR generally will be given the very next day after correspondence letter. Any guys applied in 2025 with the same scenario please share your timeline thanks

No need to worry. You will get your approval soon. I applied for TRV on 9th feb and got approval on 19th. Correspondence letter was posted 4 5 days before the approval.

I had attached only the BOWP approval letter to my TRV application. TRV is in process for last 25 days and Eligibility has not started. I got the BOWGP in physical copy. Should I attach via a webform or only the approval letter is enough ? Should I withdraw my application and submit a new one?

The approval letter is fine. IRCC also have mentioned about it. So dont worry about it.

My TRV application has been under background verification since Feb 16, 2025. I applied on an extended study permit. I contacted IRCC and they mentioned that they've sent a note to the processing office saying that it's over the nominal processing time.

I've to travel to the US in early May. Any help or insight is appreciated .

I am in a very similar situation and I got a reply from the IRCC stating that unfortunately they cannot expedite these application processing time and requested our patience on this. They also mentioned that they cannot give an exact processing time line for this. I will let you know if I get any other replies.

I got the passport submission letter today. I had contacted my local MP last Friday, and also ordered GCMS notes on Monday.

Congratulations. That gives us some hopes. Strange that applications get stuck. If WP was approved with all background checks and everything, inside canda, then why hold back TRV.
