GCMS shows 'Security Screening' and waiting... - let's gather here!

Can anybody enlighten me under what circumstances they decide the applicant need a c-check? I had no military background, no govt job, didnt have any extensive travel history nor I had any previous visa refusals. I didnt have any sensitive job in my past professional career either. I am not from any country which deemed as a threat to Canadian govt. Still they put me in c-check.

I'm on background for 16 Months , my MP did find out that they are doing military verification. Even if I didn't go to regular army, instead I was in civilian sector helping disable persons for 8 mounts at one association that was option. But my process is will be in two weeks 2 years since AOR.

They simple don't care, easily they can replace us with next person in line.

I have been in comprehensive security screening since June 2024, and my AOR was September 2023. I wonder when one should start consider Mandamus. Ostensibly when I applied in 2023, the processing time was 10 months, but now it is 24 months, which makes my case within the normal processing time, yet in a unbearably long period of css.

Hey man, I am sorry that there is nothing much I can do, and I am still waiting for my TRV. The good side is that it really doesn't matter that much for me, except I can't leave Canada. Are you inland or outland?

I’m sure , everything depends on security screen check ,
If you review in your IRCC account ( pr app)
You understand the biometric is not updated , still in background check
My work permit is expired and apply to extend I just received a letter to be work
They couldn’t update it till screen check not updated

I was in mandatory period which I didn’t choice to be there and this is another story which I think they has any guidelines for that

I'm very pleased to announce that I've got my ppr and our passports have been already stamped and taken back. After being almost 9 months stuck on comprehensive SS I've got been released after a re-medical. Wish you all a lot of courage.

Thanks. Yes outland application. No mandamus hopefully. The first PCC was expired a long time ago.
