Hi I am in a peculiar situation
I am a Indian citizen by birth and moved to canada as a permanent resident. Got my H1b approved recently in January 2025. So I was a Indian citizen when my H1b got approved. After this on March 6th my Canadian citizenship application got approved and I am gonna get my canadian passport. Do I need to go for H1B visa stamping with my canadian passport?
My wife's inland PR is still in process in the last stage, how do I schedule her H4 visa appointment? And is there a way for us to travel together to United States

Why don't you ask US CBP?

A word of caution that if your spouse leaves Canada right after getting PR you may not be able to count time together abroad towards her PR. Typically Canada wants to see that you established a life in Canada as a PR before leaving while it is clear you have already planned to leave while applying for spousal sponsorship.

So it would mean that I will not be able to renew her PR if we leave right after obtaining her PR? Or are there any other complications?

Not 100% guaranteed you will have difficulties but never having established a life in Canada as a PR could make it difficult. You applied for sponsorship never intending to actually live in Canada and having already applied to leave. The goal of spousal sponsorship is to join a spouse living in Canada not to get PR and leave right away. If you apply from abroad you have to prove your intent to settle in Canada for this exact reason. If you leave Canada before your spouse gets approved you also must inform IRCC that you no longer live and work in Canada.

You don’t require visa stamp as a canadian, just i797.
