You can enter but may get reported for not meeting RO.

Thank you for getting back. What then? I mean- first- what's RO? Second- what's to be expected if we don't meet RO? Do I apply for a Tourist Visa, jus tin case?
RO-residency obligation.
You don’t qualify for a TRV if a PR. You will be admitted no matter what this time.

You can't apply for a TRV without first officially renouncing your PR status.

Did you enter Canada after your PR been approved? You need to cross the border to confirm your PR status.
If you have never done that, you are not a PR.

IF you have landed and then left, and never enter since, you may be flagged not meeting your RO (other already explained what is RO).
You will be allowed to enter but your PR status may be revoked.

Ah, right, from what OP wrote it sounds like OP would have been an outland candidate. And so OP would have needed to take a paper copr and get landed at a port of entry.

I was thinking that 3.5 years ago is about when the first eCOPRs got sent out ... but those would have only applied to inland applicants.
