Hi everyone, yesterday, February 28, 2025, "Cooks" was added to the Trades OCupations . I recently left my job as a cook, but I have one year of experience in this role. Am I still eligible to apply for the program, or will my work experience no longer be considered?

This is the only information that I found on Canada.ca

  • have accumulated, within the past 3 years, at least 6 months of full-time, continuous work experience (or an equal amount of part-time experience)
    • in a single occupation listed in the table below
    • in Canada or abroad

Yes. If you have EE eligible profile.

Good day all, please is trade certificate required for construct manager that has work experience outside Canada

Really depends on your home country and their standards. Assume you mentioned this experience in previous applications and you have the training/schooling to justify this role. IRCC will likely be scrutinizing this type of work experience very carefully because sadly many are falsifying their foreign experience in the trades and some other sectors.
