Yes it did got approved. My port of entry was Montreal. I was asked by the officer if I’m working somewhere. I informed him my PGWP is in implied status. That’s it! No other questions were asked.
If you’re applying for PGWP from outside canada and you’re planning to come back, choose the option for PGWP(within canada). I made the mistake for completing (outside canada) application. And later on end up getting that approved and have to withdraw it and pay for another application for PGWP(inside canada). This way my work permit got delivered at my address in canada. If you’ll gonna apply from outside Canada, then the process will be same as study permit (get it stamped first then collect work permit from port of entry).
Ohh, so your SP was valid when you applied again from Canada?

I am in a similar situation. I completed MBA with completion letter dated Jan 9th. I applied from India, realised my mistake and withdrew the application. The application is still under processing. I have a valid trv and study permit till april 30th. I am planning to enter on April 1st. What should i need to take into account?

No, but i do have a call with my school's immigration advisor soon. Also i don't see if j am doing anything worng. Why are you so worried?
Oh great. Please clarify about the implied status. People are saying that once you leave canada after completing study and before applying pgwp, you lose the eligibility to work under the implied status.
Pls also ask your advisor if you can enter canada few days before your visa and SP expires and apply pgwp inland and get implied status to work.
And, what should you tell the cbsa agent at the border when they question you.

This would be great help for me also. Thank you

Ok. Did you ask if you could enter just before the expiry of your study permit and trv ?
My SP will expire 15th March and my passport has gone for stamping. Most probably I will get my passport back around 10th March so I will have 2 days to travel. I'm really worried that the agent might not let me enter with a visa that's just going to expire.
I have talked to people who said that you can enter canada and then apply for PGWP from within canada. But I didn't asked about entering just before expiration.

I hope your advisor was ccic and rcic certified.
