I am a qualified Chartered Accountant in India, I am doing BCom one year degree at ignou (As per agreement between ICAI and IGNOU, Qualified CA can complete BCom in one year due to exemption of certain subjects). Is this BCom along with CA qualification considered as double degree in WES evaluation for applying PR visa through express entry?

I am in the same situation as you. Were you able to get answers to these questions?
Please share your experience.

I have a few questions too.

My bachelor's degree is also from Ignou. B.com (account & finance) under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ICAI due to which I only had to appear for 1 year of exams and got this degree.

Now, the provisional degree received mentions date of admission as July 2020 and final exam date as December 2021. Whereas, with WES I have to get it evaluated as a 3 year degree. Wouldn't the dates mentioned on the degree cause a problem? Since there is only a gap of 1.5 years and I am claiming it to be 3 year degree?

Also, what should I mentioned when applying for express entry, as the date of start of degree and date of completion of degree? If I mention the dates mentioned on the degree again, wouldn't it create a problem sicne it took me only 1.5 years to complete?

What should I do here?

My goal is to have the B.com degree assessed as a 3 year degree and the CA-Inter assessed as 1 year diploma so that I can select "One or more degree" during my express entry application and claim extra points.

Writing this for anyone needing this information in the future.
I had cleared IPCC from ICAI and gotten my b.com (A&F) from IGNOU. I got my credentials evaluated in 2022 by WES canada and they assessed the IGNOU degree as
"Bachelor's degree (three years)". I also had ICAI send them my IPCC transcripts and that was assessed as "College-level certificate (one year)".

I can now select the option: "two or more certificates, diplomas or degrees. One must be for a program of three or more years" when applying for PR.

Hi,

I got an email from WES that my IGNOU's first and second year AT is not available. What should we upload in that case.

Can you please share what documents you had uploaded for both PCC and IGNOU as I am having similar case.

Thank You so much

For ICAI, I paid Rs. 1,700 online beforehand and then sent the following self-signed documents by courier:

1. Application for issue of transcript
2. Payment voucher
3. WES transcript request form attested
4. IPCC Group 1 marksheet attested
5. IPCC Group 2 marksheet attested
6. IPCC passing certificate attested

After receiving my documents, ICAI sent the documents 4,5, and 6 directly to WES and within a couple of days, I was able to see in my WES account that the document have been received.

For IGNOU, there was no online option, so I visited Maidan Garhi, had already filled and taken a print of their form, paid Rs. 500 by demand draft and gave them signed copies of the following:

1. Provisional degree (since I had not received the actual degree by then)
2. Final Marksheet (this is a photo of the Marksheet that I sent)
3. Application form for transcript

After this, IGNOU sent documents 1 and 2 by post which took very long, courier tracking showed that WES had received it but WES portal showed nothing, I had to contact WES customer service and share the courier tracking number for them to identify it in their system because IGNOU did not mention my WES reference number on the courier package.

I did not face the issue that you are facing. In the photo of the Marksheet that I shared, you can see that it lists all the subjects, the ones covered in IPCC, as well as the ones taken up in IGNOU.

Let me know if you need any more help.

Thank You so much for the quick response. I did everything online, for IGNOI I had done it through NSDC, not sure why they are asking. But I will send them an email.

Thank You once again.

Other people online have also reported that they faced issues while using NSDC to send documents to WES. So, could be that.
How much did you pay to NSDC for IGNOU transcript?

Oh.. I paid around $40 USD
Wow! seems like they are really bad for the amount of money they charge.
I think WES has lower trust for intermediaries, maybe that's why there are so many people facing issues. I also keep reading instanced where WES outright rejects documents directly sent by students (even if properly stamped and attested by universities).
Moreover, going directly through IGNOU is way cheaper. They still charge Rs. 500.

I hope your issue is resolved as soon as possible. If not, I would recommend sending again through IGNOU.

Anyone else reading this, please send your transcript directly through universities. Avoid intermediaries.
