Jan 2024 applicant

I had an interview on April 15th (not really sure why, seems like lots of people doing interviews this year?) and immediately after my Prohibitions and Language were marked as complete. My Physical Presence has been stuck on "In Progress" since and I'm a bit worried! The officer checked all of my travel documents in the interview, there's nothing else I could really give them at this point. I meet the requirement for days (1136) and all of my travel info in the application is accurate.

Anyone else? Anyone know what it might be?
Any update and luck further along? Please keep us posted, with any advice or remedies, thanks

I wouldn't stress too much about it, honestly. My Physical Presence was also stuck on "In Progress" for a while after the interview, even though everything else seemed fine. I think sometimes it just takes a bit longer for them to process everything. As long as your documents are all in order and you meet the requirements, it'll likely update soon.

Hi all, just checking to see if anyone has made progress. I'm stuck at the same point as there are some issues with them accepting my physical presence under TRV (half days prior to PR).
@mastershoo, @coolak2007 Any updates?
No. I emailed MP, standard response, Got GCMS twice, asked not to inquire again and again, they added into Non-routine, but only PP is pending, unsure about the delay, they think its due to frequent travel it takes time to verify information, no other reason provided, attended interview as well, its been 5 months almost, so I hope something moves in Jan-Feb

Hello, By frequent travel do you mean daily commute to US? I am in similar boat.

It was East Coast to East Coast only, still unsure if the time of flight and number of buffer days etc matters or needs verification. It clearly states -
  • Absences will be calculated only for days where an applicant spent no time at all in Canada. Dates where an applicant left Canada, or returned to Canada will not be counted as an absence since the applicant was physically present in Canada for a portion of both days.

Ok. What is your timeline and how many days did you accumulate ?

So what happened here? I'm in the same boat and was wondering how long anyone who stuck at PP waited.

Im in the same boat. All other steps are complete except physical presence and oath. I applied early Dec 2023 and still waiting. I applied right after I completed 1095 days. It's 1096 if I exclude the days I was flying and 1105 days if I include both the days I was flying as being in Canada. Overall I am certain that I've completed 1095 days as my only travels have been via flights and it's far and few.

I reached out to the MP on September and they responded that my file has a bring forward date of Sep 26 and I should hear from IRCC soon. I got very excited, but Sep 26 came by and still no response. I reached back out to the MP and they said IRCC cannot provide any more updates and there is no longer any timeline for reviewing my application!!

Asked for gcms notes today as I don't have any other options for getting visibility into why my file is stuck.

What is the hotline number for requesting for an update via phone? I've tried one number before but it's an endless loop - haven't been able to talk to anyone in person.

Should I be worried about my application? The sad part is I had a job lined up in the US for a 1-2 year contract and I need to decline it now as I'm not sure if it's a good idea leaving the country while my citizenship is pending
any update?
