Guys, I got my AOR before marriage and now I am married (outside Canada) and I added my wife as my dependent in my ongoing PR file. my PR file is in process under PNP Non-Express Entry,

so for my wife, who is living in India (and does not have any Canadian temporary status ) am I eligible to apply for her Open Work Permit (outside Canada), or Visitor Visa????

so she can join me in Canada as soon as possible because the Non-Express Entry processing time is 13 months, and it's too much.

Any help appreciated
thank you

Ya, she is not inland, but here they said if inland then she needs TRV status,

What if I apply for visitor visa for spouse visit and then apply for her open work permit ?does that works ?

OWP is not an option until she is in Canada. First is for her to apply for TRV. Chances are low since she has PR application underway but she can submit and hope for approval. Then when in Canada, she can apply for OWP but cannot work until approval. She most likely will have PR before the two are both approved.

I got a study permit and my wife received SOWP ( for fall 2023). Subsequently I arrived in Canada on the study permit in September 2023 but my wife could not come with me. I violated the immigration rules by (1) not enrolling in the masters programme for which i got the study permit. (2) I worked for 6 months while not enrolled. In Spring 2024 I enrolled in the masters programme in the same university. In July, 2024 my wife joined me. After completing my first term at the university, I Withdrew and enrolled for a trade programme as I had had admission to study an 8 month course. I will be completing this trade programme at the end of April 2025. Doubting that i may be refused a pgwp, my wife secured admission for a masters programme in education, beginning spring 2025. we are about filing the application, before mid of January 2025. We intend to concurrently apply for a study permit for her and a SOWP for me. Question is, does it look like we will both be successful in our application. if not what else can we do to be successful. or what other alternatives are opened to us? I am keen on getting a work permit. I hope to get feedback from the group. Thanks in advance

Assume you would also still be over the draw threshold if your spouse is listed as accompanying on your PNP application. Scores can be reassessed.

The big issue is that you would not qualify for an SOWP as the initial primary applicant. The fact that you didn’t meet the terms of your study permit also could be an issue. Was there a full semester in Spring 2024?
