    I think you can call IRB once but they don't like it when you call often. In Edmonton, you should normally get a hearing within 15 month in other people's experience from the time you were referred. However, things change and I would be patient. It took me 8 months to get brown paper...

    The IRB portal is for lawyers. the IRCC postal won't show anything about IRB for the most part. You can call IRB but they don't like that either, they told me to stop calling them after calling a few times.

    Yes, you can get social assitance like Ontario works. However, you may need to change your lawyer regardless of where the case is based if your current lawyer doesn't accept Ontario legal aid. I recommend the this office 416-924-2227 for a lawyer or choose your own.

    You have to call the IRB and get a form (might be available online). However, it maybe okay to keep it at the Alberta/BC office. IT tends to be faster..
