I assume your comment is for @Dreamlad, not me. Anyhow, people do have every right to be curious what is going on with their applications in process for two years, especially if the official IRCC website informs us that the average waiting time for the citizenship applications is 12 months...

I personally know a family of four who applied from Kitchener in August 2019, which is months and months before you applied. Straightforward and "clean" application, test passed in March 2021, and they still haven't received their oath invitation. I don't know if this makes you feel any better...

If they are expecting the baby outside of Canada and the OP's PR card is about to expire, then I think the reason is valid enough to try.

I understand your situation. I really do. However, if your baby is expected to be born in Canada, I don't think your reason is strong enough to make your MP expedite the process. Still, if you decide to write to them, I suggest you to be concise as much as possible. Good luck with everything!
