It could. you would need to know if the country where you are a citizen allows you to hold more than 1 or 2 citizenship. Also, what class were you under for PR status in Canada to begin with? In the US, you will need tons of proof that your relationship is legit.

I forgot to mention, if you do your soft landing.. You MUST have a Canadian address you can have your PR card sent to. family, friend, anyone, but they will NOT mail your PR card outside of canada!
