Depends on the office that you'll be landing at. My hubby landed at Etobicoke last week and we got his landing letter on the same day as AIP and DM. Other offices like Vancouver seem to be taking a longer time.

Did you apply for an OWP with your inland app? If you did then you'll have implied status by virtue of the OWP. If not then no. The app itself does not give you implied status.

Everything moved so fast right after we got medical passed. Medical passed was 2 weeks after hubby did the medical. Just a week and a half later, he'll officially be a PR!!! I know you'll be joining the rest of us soon with good news. :D

Finally got med req last night after I sent in a case specific enquiry on last friday. I hope things move a lot faster after we get med done next week.

I still haven't received med req but my app has been saying "We're processing your background check" since the day I linked the app. I thought all apps said that. I have no idea what stage we're in now.

The certificate has NOTHING to do with it. The certificate is for your employer, not the government. The people saying above that it's about the med exam are 100% correct. You should be able to flag to get the restriction lifted if you've done a med exam already. I would try to head to a land...
