Sad times :'( But another question, if we live together for 6 months in our apartment in Mexico and then live together for 6 months at my parent's house in Canada (and he gets a Canadian Visitor Visa to do so) and then we move back to our place in Mexico..thus over 365 days... would that then...

I had to leave the country we were both living together in to return to Canada to work, I left on May 1st.

Can I apply to sponser my common-law partner if we lived together from May 5 2013 until May 1 2014... thus just a few days under a year? I worry because I once missed out on a workplace yearly bonus by having worked 2 days shy of a full year..! Thanks, Strawbella
