Anyone looking at this thread now. Super Visa doesn't require to show strong tied to home country. My father was retired and had no ties to my home country. I was able to get his supervisa without any issue

I think the backlog for oath ceremony can be handled later easily. First, smaller ceremonies will be gradually restarted and then we can have larger ceremonies to remove backlogs ( obviously when it is no longer a public health risk)

Contact IRCC and let them know you won't be able to do it in 30 days... So they will give you more time to do it.. You can contact using online web inquiry. Be ready to provide a proper reason for not being able to do it within 30 days

I found someone's experience here. I will give it a try. I don't want to delay the process as my father won't go back for a while.. Worst case scenario I will just waste one of my day...

I would like others to confirm but I don't think you need to provide PCC for Canada.

thanks I was thinking the same. Thanks for confirming. my father is in Canada on supervisa. However he is asked to go outside Canada for biometrics. He has visitor visa of USA. Can I schedule an appointment there and take him there.
