How about purchase of property? With an expired PR card, even if the mortgage lender is willing to give mortgage, would there be any issues raised by the lawyer at the time of closing? Would the buyer be able to close the deal/ complete registration of the property without a valid PR card?

Thanks of this info! My PR card expired Nov 2021. So I am not meeting RO. I did live in Ontario for 2 years- 2018 to 2020 (although irrelevant to RO now) and I had a G2 License and Health card which all expired in 2023. So, need to restart everything once I cross the land border soon.
