Thank you very much. That's correct. He is my common-low partner who is also my fiancé.

@legalfalcon I have a question that I'd really appreciate your input on. My fiancé is my accompanying dependent in our FSW-Outland application and I received "ready for visa" email recently. I was the only one who received the email from IRCC. Is this normal or both of us should have received...

My medicals were extended for a year once. I was not asked to do remedicals and my medical extension will expire in Dec. So, I'm not sure how much time I have for the move. Probably only 3 months till my medical expiration date.

Hey All, I'm a FSW-outlander residing in the US with AOR Feb 2020. I got PPR today. My application was approved since Dec 2020 and was sitting in the RFV group. Just thought I'd let you all know. My VO is Ottawa and it seems like there is some movement happening there. Hopefully you all get...

Finally received PPR today. It's been a looong wait. My application was approved since Dec 2020 and it was sitting in the RFV group. My medical was extended once for 1 year and I was not asked for a remedical. So, not sure how much time I have to move to Canada (probably till Dec).

Totally agree. I did not say that it's easy. I just said that it's possible and legal. You do not have to give up one of the PRs if you do not want to.

This is not true. There is no rule that says you cannot be PR of both countries as long as you meet the residency requirements of both countries (being present in Canada for 2 years out of 5 years and 1.5 years out of 5 years in the US (since you have an American spouse)). Also, eventually you...

Although you may have some timeline issues. Since if you are in Canada before you have your US travel documents, you'll need to apply for immigration visa to come back to the US. So, make sure your application timelines match up.

You can do that. My fiancé and I are doing the same thing. Neither US or Canada care about having the permanent residency of the other country. It does not negatively affect either applications.

Ha...interesting! So, they communicated with you via email or did you call them? My application has been approved since Dec 2020 and my medical extension will expire in Dec. So, if they do finalize applications 3 months before medical expiration, I should be getting PPR next month.

May I ask how long your visa is valid for? 3 months?
