Hey! I am in USA right now and have a flight back on 12th December. I have a work permit and a TRV. However I received my CoPR today. I might have to apply for a PRTD from USA. Can you tell me how much time it took for you to get a PRTD? and what is the process? Do I have to get a stamp?

Do you know if I can do a land crossing from US?

No! I was only visiting my family in United States for 2 weeks. I am not sure what to do in this situation.

I just received my CoPR. I thought they would be using the portal, but they have sent the CoPR in my profile. I am outside Canada currently. Has anyone applied for a PRTD recently?

Yes. If they send you a request for this portal. You can apply for the card online. They just started it this week, so not sure if they are rolling it out consistently for everyone.

I have decided to go. I did call IRCC 2 times today, and they both mentioned that from Nov 09 they have started a new portal to confirm you are in Canada before giving a CoPR. Worse come worse, if that doesn't happen, I will cross the road border to come back.
