    PRTD

Hello all, so I do qualify for a PR TD as per Residency Obligation days less than 1095 overseas last 5 years. However, now I’m filling the TD application online & how do I “ attach photocopy of all passport pages & travel documents “ into one PDF where the option is to Upload only 1 file and not...

    PRTD from India

So , in my case I placed my passport front page on the scanner & the system recognized all my details; I didn't place my PR card (which is expired) anywhere near the scanner, which is what u assume I did. But the passport scan (not the page w PRTD) was enough, apparently

    PRTD from India

Ok, my update. Obtained PRTD end March, arrived in Canada yesterday. My question is mainly for those tech savvy members in this forum, notably @hruday02 ; are the various platforms, applications linked so seamlessly these days that entering one detail or personal identification number...

Renewing PR card from outside Canada

Option b) is the right way to do it. You can even travel to Canada in May ‘23, a few days before your PR Card expires, then return to India & subsequently apply for a PRTD

PR card renewal - In person interview at IRCC Etobicoke office

Current PR Card, not PR TD. The latter is only if your PR Card has Expired, is Missing or Stolen, and anyway takes a while for processing

Not meet residency obligation, should I renew PR card?

Fascinating, this analysis of @meghashyam75 s life & future planning! One Step (one Day) at a Time; of course, not Discounting the value of Long Term Planning. Somewhat similar is my situation, in that I moved to Canada as a PR in my mid 40s, am 59 now, will be 60 soon! And also the fact that...

PR card renewal - In person interview at IRCC Etobicoke office

Didn’t have my proper Glasses yesterday , were being repaired (have them now) , so my responses might’ve been fragmented & somewhat incomplete. But received the email from IRCC asking for passport submission for my PR TD yesterday itself, so felt somewhat eager to share my case progress. And I...

PR card renewal - In person interview at IRCC Etobicoke office

I have to Differ here. It looks like there will always (or generally) be one less day of trip days Outside Canada.. or 1 extra day of RO, based on this calculation. A Simple calculation: say I was in my home country on the 2nd, 3rd & 4th Jan so C3 -C2 will be 4-2=2, but intuitively we know that...

    Help!! Residency Obligation question

Sorry again " In person Pickup, where I might likely be lectured about Residency Obligations and my responsibilities towards maintaining my PR"

    Help!! Residency Obligation question

Yes, sorry am commenting on my Case , also based on your Observations. In fact, the last time I'd clarified some Doubts which you'd raised, in a Reply to Your Comment, the whole thing ie my Reply + your Comment went beyond 10,000 words & thus had to Cut some paragraphs of yours to fit in my...

Returning to Canada with 1 week buffer

Should be perfectly fine. You have all of April, May & June to make up for the 107 days + part of March also & then apply for Renewal with plenty of time before expiration of Card. Just fyi: in N America (US & Canada ) it's best to use the verb "Live" instead of "Stay" (that's an Indian usage...

Returning to Canada with 1 week buffer

Don’t think so, they might warn you at Port of Entry, am in a similar situation, applied for PRTD, so you mean by 1 week buffer, you have 737 days of Residence in the last 5 years? PR expiry date is?

PRTD online application via PR portal

I did so too, also physically mailed proofs of RO to the Bengaluru Consulate General. Still waiting, mine might take time I guess since just 2 days (732) meeting RO, so they got to check entry records w CBSA & exit records for last 5 years only by getting passenger lists from each & every...
