I can’t leave it blank as it says adding it is mandatory. Do I write “unknown”?

For the new Canadian Passport application, it asks for the mother's surname at birth. My mother had a surname, but it was not used in her legal name, for example, in her documents. Shoud I still write her surname or write "unknown" in the surname field? Please suggest.

I have my oath scheduled for 24th April, and today I got an email from the Calgary office. Has anyone received an invitation for Citizenship to Passport Pilot? I got an email for that. Going to send the application form and details for the passport before the oath.

Finally, the tracker is working, and I can see it shows the Citizen ceremony in progress on April 4th. I received the email yesterday for the citizenship oat ceremony on April 24th.

Just got an email for the Virtual ceremony on 24th April 2025.

I called them. The agent was not aware of any issues with the tracker and sent me the same link via email to track.

Got an email just now to download Citizenship e-certificate. But it says auth of citizenship is required. No details about auth as of now with tracker not loading. How to find out the application status now?

Prohibitions were completed on March 20. Only the Citizenship ceremony is pending now.
