Father's medical reason.. yes my spouse became a citizen last year..Yes it definitely helps..shows intent that family wants to settle on Canada.

Well i guess firstly they are doing one a favour by considering h&c anf then to tell them op is out of country and ask for extension is over stretching it. I planned to enter through US by private car if I had to pick up my card. Ww

The best would be if you complete your RO. However, for h&c you would need to explain why such a long treatment out of Canada was required. They might say why dint you get your treatment in Canada..however if you just want to travel to usa and back use the land route by private car ..dont need...

I applied for PR renewal in Sept 23 under H&C as my days were short to met RO. Got my Par card today in the mail with a 5 year expiry. So to all those who have not met RO if you have a genuine reason with documents to proove, they look at it compassionately. Don't loose hope.

Thanks for the reply. Does one have to apply again . I mean a new application or is there is facility where one can just reupload or mail the photo. And if one has to re do the whole application process then can we use old application fee receipt or does one have to pay again and upload new...
