My country is a visa exempt country so I didn't have to send original passport but just a copy. I already sent a copy of the passport and 2 photos to CIC and got the final approval. I guess I will just have to wait another 1-2 weeks to get the CoPR if I want to bring that to my country with me...

Is it the same as landing paper ? Does that mean I need to wait until I get the document from CIC before I can depart Canada ? and also need that for re-entry ?

Nov 28 2016 applicant waiting for PPR - it says "updated" on my cic today, but when I clicked it, it is the same as before. From the previous posts, can I take it as a sign that I will be getting PPR soon ?

BC PNP Application received on Nov 28, 2016 BGIP Feb 27 Still no PPR :( starting to get worried now. I booked flights for going back to my country from Apr 14 to Apr 29. If I get PPR in a week or two, I think I will be able to get the passport back before my flight. Do you know what happens...

So PPR - we don't have to send them the actual original passport, but a copy will do ?
