Sorry to jump in - but I just want to point out their application was likely returned before the pandemic response was implemented. IRCC issued AORs/returns regularly until the second week in March.

Last year's average was 30 days. But no one knows now...

Did you put in your passport information when you were linking your application? I was having a hard time linking my application but I left the passport information blank and it worked.

You only need to get certified copies for official documents like birth certificates. No need to certify chat logs, invoices, etc.

Your son is not immigrating to Canada because he already is a Canadian citizen. Only immigrants who are not Canadian citizens need to undergo a medical examination.
