Hey @ravelena did you manage to get back your passport in time. Really hope you did!

Take copies of your tickets etc. And try your luck and be insistent you can drop passport directly at high commission etc. I’m sure they will say no but try it. The VAC send the passport to the visa office and get it back so maybe room to cut some time there.

Yes, I don't think i've faced anything as ridiculous as this process before. The lack of transparency and inability to contact them (with the expectation of a meaningful response) is the worst thing about it. They have some seriously messed up process in place I'm guessing with meaningless...

Tried visiting the embassy in London too. No use at all. They direct you to the VAC and say they don’t process visas at embassy. The VAC then say it’s at the embassy that they do the processing. The web forms are not much use either, they either don’t reply or reply saying it’s in process.

I wonder if tweeting etc will help on their main page. I don’t have twitter so won’t be trying that.

Yes total lottery. Took me 4 days last time 2 years ago. Now it’s literally same application, same situation and no changes but taking ages. Guess we are just the unlucky ones. Surely others are being processed faster which we are not aware of. Only the desperate ones like us will be on these...
