Yup. Called up VFS too, they told me if Delhi VO tells them you are urgent they will take biometric.

I sent emails to this address multiple times. Been waiting for my wife's application to be processed since December, and they still haven't done anything. No clue why

Which email did you use to contact IRCC for the Visitor visa?

Biometrics has nothing to do with getting the application processed. I called up IRCC today, they informed that the processing is done at the VO, for me its in New Delhi, and the speed at which they will process the application or give it priority is up to the VO. So any delays in processing...

A lot of people goto Dubai or Nepal to get the Biometric done, it seems ridiculous that Biometrics can be done in Nepal, but its closed in India. I don't think you need a new letter when Biometrics open up in India. The TRV is taking far too long though.

I would definitely post-pone it, TRVs are taking a long time to process.
