@canuck78 please advise. h&c case is applied for the family with medical inadmissibility of the principal applicant. Would IRCC ask for medical to be done for PA or the whole family?

I do agree that they want people to leave. However there are tonnes of people waiting for their first or second stage approval under h&c. They can't deport everyone in one go. So till the time, it's quite practical to give them work permit. Also, @Tny , yes, I have seen the positive results.

I would suggest to apply work permit again and do mention your h&c application number in the same. You can upload your AOR for H&C as additional document. There's a chance you would get your work permit. Reason for your refusal : There's a policy change in March 2024 and they have been refusing...

Hi @fagsey Restoration of work permit fee is required, however if it's just one or two days, you can explain with a valid reason. It depends on the officer to buy your explanation or not.

@Armaani hi, The timeline mentioned by CBSA officer is close to approximate. For H&C, current average processing time is 50 months in Quebec and 20 months for rest of the provinces. If you have applied online, it will show submitted only. Also as per senior members here, same officer assess...

Hey @Robin220 I don't think it's worth it to spend $12K for PRRA. I am not sure what extra would he submit in PRRA that he missed while applying H&C for you and charging 12k for the same. There's no harm in changing the lawyer. Please search someone who has good reviews and charges reasonable.

@Taweda I think you should request it and at the same time send a letter to your agent from MIFI explaining your situation that the lawyer is no more helping and you have already requested from IRCC. Once you get it, you can send the same to MIFI.
