    October 2024 - Citizenship Applications

Call back and ask who your local IRCC office is that scheduled your oath ceremony. then politely ask them foe that location's email address. If that doesn't work, submit a webform with your inquiry.

Yes, you can reach out to the local office that scheduled you and ask them if it's in person or virtually. Given how far out it is, it's most likely in person. If they do tell you thar, you can ask for a virtually ceremony. There is no guarantee that they will accommodate you, but it never...

Think of it this way: we have no choice over where we were born or the political situation our country of origin may be in at the moment. Unfortunately, most of the time it boils down to just that: country of origin, that country's political history and/or criminal history...and what others...

There is definitely a lot of kicking the can down the road going on ha ha I feel for the IRCC Call center agents. They get the brunt of all the frustrations meant for the adjudicating officers.

I feel you man. That made me laugh out loud. Shrug all this off. It will be a memory real soon and not something you're living through. Soon you’ll be just another American Canadian (officially on an ecertificate) lol

Technically it's not a waste if they have to get a special review on something. This is a citizenship grant application and something serious and precious. I'm sorry you have to wait and that other seem to be sailing through, but knowing the value and importance of what is being granted kind of...

Processing time went down to 8 months. So I guess IRCC is starting to stabilize their operations post layoffs. I expect this to go back down some more, possibly back to 5 months. And it better not be an April fools joke lol

The tracker doesn't show a key last step which us the final decision being made. A senior officer has to sign off on everything and make that decision. I now recall the IRCC agent tell me this when I called and asked about the process. Again read what I wrote...you might have already had the...

Where do you live? After LPP, a final decison needs to be made. Then the local ircc office takes over and is responsible for scheduling the oath. that's where things may take a while. You just need to be patient. You're almost done.

That's right and if you send in a ecertificate, you dont have to stress about it getting lost in the mail because you can always print another one. I'm in love with the digital option.

Ha ha you're funny. FYI, I pay for the express programs like global entry to avoid lines at airports; even if it means driving down to Buffalo int'l airport. I traveled 75% of each month glovally for work for about 9 years and I'm over the long lines for anything. So yeah, anything to avoid...
