I did not get the citizenship certificate today. After the oath I had to sign the oath paper and scan it to the agent. They told me the citizenship certificate will be mailed to me in 4 to 6 weeks.

I don't think companies would ask such question. If they do, just say you came with your wife. And if the interviewer thinks you're less qualified for the job because you are not the principal applicant, there's something wrong with them. It would be a bad idea to work for the company anyway.

You can totally do that. I went for a 3 day trip in the US then landed on the way back. Just tell the Canadian border officer you need to land.
