Your PR does not expire. Your PR Card does.

Contacting IRCC will be useless. They will not expedite your application.
For CEC take in consideration there has not being any CEC draw since sept 14… nobody know when they will resume.
also, you are not guaranteed to be invited in the next CEC draw.
As others have said. You may be able to apply at the airport. There is no 48h rule.
You can start working even without a SIN, provided that you have already applied and waiting for it...
If you don’t trust your agent why do you use it at all?
You can check the AOR on you GCKey… which you don’t have….
But if at this stage you a doubtful. I would remove him from my application. After that you can interact directly with IRCC
