I just sent email response with my reason to cancel/reschedule and never got any issues. It took 3 months every time to get a new invitation. If you have a valid reason to ask reschedule your oath, it should be fine.

I haven't been in exactly same situation. I had just my application and I did cancel twice my ceremony no problem. You just need to have a valid reason for it.

Is it really that I am not allowed to travel to Canada anymore , if my PR card is not valid anymore or I go there just for a vacation? That just seems to o harsh in my opinion. I don't really care of my PR status because I don't live there anymore.

Just an update for my situation. I got my oath invitation for December 23rd and I needed to reschedule it. I just got the new oath date for end of this March. And I will need to reschedule it again.... has anyone here rescheduled their oath more than once...?
