Guys! What is the big issue if we applied inland but my husband needs to travel to uganda for 2 months? He had a trv with multiple entry, an open work permit, almost approved PR, we are married and have a baby. He even has a job in Canada. I see mixed information everywhere.

Yea thats the one I have and there are no specific sections. Only the application status.

I dont see anything about background check. all I see is “application status in progress”

Also… we didnt know that after over a yea yes he is ok with that. He understands the situation. I just dont see how an officer can refuse someone at the border who has a valid Trv. An open work permit. Pr application in process. Is married to a canadian citizen and has a baby waiting at home.

But he was already living with me here. So I guessed i had no choice to apply inland.

Its inland but we are married and have a baby together. He even has a job here. Im wondering why an officer would refuse to let him come back to his family? Why 3 weeks or 2 months make a difference. Plane tickets are expensive. We just want to make one trip in 2 years.

does anyone have an idea how long it is to get a work permit approved after receiving BVL? we applied for inland spouse sponsorship march 30, 2023. OWP application was sent june 24, 2024. BVL received july 11, 2023.
