This is incorrect. A government agent informed me that a PRTD application does not impact an already existing PR Card application.

Haha, an increase from 94 days to 128 days for New PR Cards....what a joke.

Sadly you will not receive confirmation until they open your letter and start processing your application. I sent my photo and letter to the Montreal office and it arrived recorded delivery on June 11th. I have heard nothing since.

New card processing times is less than 100 days now. I know of internal CEC candidates who received PR, who have received their cards within 3 weeks. They had to sent their photos to smaller IRCC offices. The Montreal office seems to be working slower or is not processing them.
