    Early arrival to Canada

    Hi, my program starts on August 13th and I plan to enter Canada on July 13th. I think roughly a month before shouldn't be a problem.

    Denied boarding

    Based on my research from all sources online, it looks only airlines not allowing new student to board the plane. Once you manage to get onto the plane and arrive in Canada, the border officer would generally let you in.

    When can an international student arrive in Canada?

    I just called CBSA an hour ago and was told explicitly that new study permit holders can only arrive in Canada 4 weeks before the program start date. I will enter Canada from the US and no exception on this either.
