One of my friend applied for his Trv on Dec 25th and he received his ppr request like a week ago. So, I guess its random and it might depend on luck too

Since you already have a Work permit and Visitor Visa, I dont think there would be any issue. However, just for for safety measure you can confirm with an agent.

Isnt Visitor via and Trv the same ?

Yes, I have the same concern, if we submit our passport in India, should we be giving our biometrics ? Since we applied for trv within Canada, biometrics werent required.
