PGP and Parents Sponsorship are the same thing. There's no way around it for your 2020 income besides waiting a few years. They don't make exceptions on income, some have been rejected for <$100. I'm a 2019 applicant and was just approved so it took just over 2 years total, many are still...

It's actually 20-24 months on the website. Plus covid delays.

As a sponsor, you must live in Canada (as per 2020 PGP Guide 5772).

Remember we are still within the 20-24 month timeline. Just, but we knew coming into this it could take a couple of years. Hopefully covid doesn't delay things even more.

I understand you're frustrated. We're all frustrated. Please know that we don't have any inside information here, we're in the same boat. Waiting for communication and progress.

If it helps stop covid cases coming into Canada, why not? If i was to go home to NZ, I'd have to stay in mandatory quarantine (hotel) for 14 days and pay $3k. But they're living life like normal down there, parties, concerts, vacations. No masks needed.

I received my notes this morning. Criminality/medical passed, eligibility/security not started but they've been assigned to someone. They have a "due date" of Feb 10/21. My mum is in a covid-free country so perhaps she's better off there for now, rather than being locked in a house with us in AB.
