I called IRCC to find out the time of my citizenship ceremony as I don’t have the letter yet, just the date in the tracker. It’s October 15th in Hamilton. Does anyone have any experience with this office? It’s better for me as I live in Burlington. My test came from NGF.

No. Did you file taxes last year? That is the bigger question. IRCC doesn’t care about your financial situation.

I believe the paper certificate is 2-3 weeks. But you can probably still change to electronic?

If you selected electronic certificate when you applied for citizenship, you will get it via email 2-5 business days after (some do get it as soon as the same day). I would keep your appt for now - good chance you’ll have what you need by then!

Did you get an email? Or see it in the portal? my oath was also scheduled but not until Oct 15. I’m trying to figure out why I’m so far out. I am travelling Oct 19 so would have to reschedule.

My tracker was updated this morning saying the oath has been scheduled for October 15. I am travelling October 19, so have to move it. I find it odd that it was so far out. Anyone else get it a month away?

You likely won’t have an issue visiting the US. Unless they send you to secondary, but even then it’s unlikely. You will have an issue if you apply for a visa of any kind.

Sigh! Annoying. Also save your sanity - the tracker only updates once a day. If it’s not updated in the morning, it won’t update until the next day.

Yeah they seem to be the problem. Every other office the invite seems to be 2-3 days after LPP.
