Thank you. We sure do feel lost at the moment. I'm travelling to Vienna VO on Monday because they asked me for biometrics (my PR application is still in process) but I'm trying not to think about it, their letter said it all depends on the officers there now :(

He has to take heart meds every day that cost a lot, so health care is participating in costs. And we didn't know they'll think of it as social assistance but they do...Without them he wouldn't be alive today so if it has to be this way...

And Decision Made on Sponsorship application today. Still waiting for their letter though :D no idea what the decision is? Is Sponsor (my husband) approved if they asked me for Biometrics?

Yep, we got nothing yet. My husband was asked for an additional document in December. We sent it right away, they received it in a couple of days. And after that no word from them. He called a couple of times while they were still working "normally". They told him everything's ok with the file...

It all makes sense what you're saying but not everyone is in the same position. I know if it was happening here in Croatia, I know my boss would give me a day off but I also know more than a few who wouldn't have to show up at work the next week because they would be fired. So it all depends...
