Yeah when you link it, you will be able to see the status

You can keep both and just sign on Client copy. That should be enough. Note for outland applicants the process might be different. I am only suggesting as an Inland applicant

Not sure for outland applications. Since i am inland, i was able to link my PR card application in IRCC online after i got my eCOPR. You can follow this video for any information

Why is IRCC Montreal so slow? I have seen people from Etobicoke getting COPRs so quickly and yet when I email IRCC Montreal to ask about it, they say my application is in virtual landing queue and there might be delays due to high number of applications. Waiting for COPR since November 20.
