Hello, Just wondering if anyone asked them to send passport and photographs to Visa Offices in Los Angeles or New York. I live in Los Angeles and it would definitely be convenient to send passport locally rather than mailing it to Ottawa. I have emailed them about this but yet to hear from them...

Yes I got it notarized from UPS. I notarized one copy of each required document (I believe the notary sealed and signed both). In some cases, where seal was not possible, I believe she signed and gave seal on a different copy certifying that document is correct etc.

I sent one money order of $27, the additonal fee was updated to $2 sometime ago I believe. Haven't received the pcc yet.

You can also search for places that do liveScan but you will need to check with them if they give you a printout of fingerprint card that you can then mail to FBI.

Any idea about processing times for people who have mailed their documents and / or do not have passport issued in San Francisco?
