Oh no I am sorry to hear about that. If you really want to go then reapplying is the only option. Not sure if you can appeal.

Hi guys, a tinge of hope today as my application status has been updated to reviewing eligibility. Did not receive any email notification.

None whatsoever. I agree I think processing background check is the default. In my CIC account home page the status is Submitted - think this will be changed once they actually start processing it. Hopefully we get something by end of week.

Our timelines and application status are pretty much the same. The advice is to send a webform only when it has passed the published processing time. In my case, I sent a webform last Friday to give them a nudge (hopefully). My travel date is 22nd August and I'm getting nervous as well.
