Guys, I am sure some of you would have deliberated on this question too...Need some inputs on what you ended up doing :-
My marriage was solemnized on 17-APR but was registered under hindu marriage act on 24-APR. My marriage certificate mentions both dates. Can you guide which date to use ...
Thanks ! from tax standpoint, I am talking to CPA and will do whatever is suggested..
My question is more from immigration standpoint, does tax residency change impact any ongoing citizenship application ?
Hi All - My spouse has citizenship application in progress. For 2023, she is going to file part year tax resident of Canada as she had to leave Canada in SEP '23 for work. Does change in tax residency change impacts immigration status in any way ?
She is going to be back to Canada in SEP '24...
Hi All - I am in the same boat, I am more leaning towards using got married date as certificate says "applied for registration on" and not actual registration date. That makes me think, got married date is a logical choice. Can few of you weigh in ?
Guys, my wife is outside Canada and is waiting for response to go ahead with test. Her test window is Aug 2 to 22 and it is Aug 6 already. We are sending follow up email but with no response yet. Has anybody been on same boat and how you dealt with it?
Thanks
Hi all, i became Canadian citizen in Jan 2023. I was just curious and checked ecas status page and I don't see my application anymore. Do you know if they purge status data from ecas or something after 6 month or something?
Thanks!
