I also raised CSE early June and they replied it last last week. So, it took about 40 days for them to reply my inquiry. But, it may take earlier for you. They told me my case in under review for background check and requires additional verifications. Also, they told me to be patient :(

I am still waiting as you do. My AOR is December 6 and it is more than 7 months. However, as my notes indicate, my eligibility and all other factors passed and I am in security clearance step which seems to be a last step. Have you ordered GCMS notes for your application?

My notes does mention only 4 lines about security and it just mentions Type: Security. How do you know you are in SS? In which part of Notes it mentions that?

I am also in security since February. However, in my GCMS notes, security page is blank. I don't know why it is blank and marked with s.21 and s.22 at the right top corner of the pages. So, do you see blank page in security section, too? BTW, I am CEC December 5 AOR.

It seems it depends on several factors like your background, nationality, number of travels and other factors. I am in IP2 since February 10 and still waiting for the PPR email. My visa office is also Ottawa.

I personally haven't heard any situation like this, but I think agents that answers questions through the phone, don't have any control on application process at all. So, try to contact CIC through the web form rather than phone. Maybe you can get more clear response. BTW, what is your...

It is not very clear response. However, based on what I understand, your case is going through background check process, and it may take some time to be concluded (completed).
