I traveled by air, and no I wasn't asked that question. I'd had a CoPR dated before Mar 19 when I landed, and as per the regulations I am allowed to enter the country. There was a case of a visitor visa holder who was refused entry to Canada in front of me though.

I wish you a happy landing :) A1: Ask them to do both. If you're headed to Ontario, then ServiceOntario will ask you to produce an original mailed copy of the bank statement in order to issue your OHIP card. Not sure about other provinces. A2: I'm curious to know in which page is that mentioned?

Tuning-in to comment on this bit: depending on where you're staying, you can order your local SIM card online and you'll receive it by mail in a few days (2-4 days from personal experiences). At least Fizz (https://fizz.ca) provides that service; not sure about other mobile network operators.

I second canuck_in_uk, that's exactly what I did when I arrived (self-isolation address in AirBnB, while PR card delivery address of a relative).
