All EE cases I knew that processed in Ottawa has the VISA stamped from Cairo office within 1 week or less without a request for interview. By the way this office is non predictable, it might be something trivial like documents verification or so. All the best.

4 weeks since PPR and sending passports to Cairo Visa Office with no VISA issued till the moment. Emailing them & calling CIC didn't help. Anyone in the same boat?

It is very simple, just call DHL, Aramex or any courier, you will have free collection option from your place or attend yourself to courier shop. You will write embassy address, telephone number (you can get it from PPR email or google it, it doesn't matter) and finally pay around EGP 60...
