By the time your passport is dispatched back to where you submitted it the COPR will have already been issued. So no steps from your end. It’s mostly a wait and preparation for landing. When the passport is ready for receipt at your local VFS then I understand the tracker and GCKey both get...

COPR expiry date would not be very near so thankfully no urgency in that regard. But at the same time landing before winter or even mid-autumn may make more sense. You’re right. At this point it gets too subjective and really depends on individual circumstances.

Photos and passport submitted. Fortunately I was guided to a reputable photo studio with experience. Much better than I expected. Now it is a waiting period of 2 to 3 weeks according to VFS. Current thoughts are: Should I do a soft landing? Should I travel as soon as I get the COPR? What are...

Thanks, I’ll make sure mine is not touched at all (similar to my eAPR version but that won’t be reused). And I pray, pray that I can find a place with a white pull down screen. That will be ideal. Did the camera have a flash by the way? A small white spot in the eye from the flash probably...

Yeah I know it, but don’t want to post it here at the moment. This photo studio thing has got me real stressed. The specs say that cutting and pasting on a white background constitutes alteration but the examples on the official website are literally pasted on a white background. So what should...

Yeah finding such a place will be quite a challenge but I’ll continue the search. Been to at least five different photo studios and none of them were familiar with the photo specs. One guy didn’t have a name for his studio and went completely silent when I mentioned the specs. He had edited the...

Just one question on the 50x70mm photo. Even a white background turns out grey when printed. Will it be an issue if the photo studio lightens the background a bit? Sample PR photos online obviously seem to have the background lightened, so I’m guessing it shouldn’t be an issue?

Yes, hopefully it ends that phase for me. And your posts have been very helpful @iSaidGoodDay As for preparation, I think I can start preparing now. Today’s update was a nudge in the right direction.

Like you said @priyankabhalla I just got the FD too. Dated July 10 on GCKey. No email at the moment, but this is a wonderful update for me.

Wow congratulations @priyankabhalla ! As I understand it, FD on GCKey means you are basically done. PPR will be coming very soon. Edit: Is there any change on your tracker? GCKey probably won’t show any further updates until you land.

Officially marking 100 days today. AOR Apr 01. Checked GCKey and tracker. Nothing yet. Unlike the people who had their eligibility passed at the 55, 65, 75, 85 or 95 day mark mine is showing eligibility not started on the tracker. The tracker is also not acknowledging the call I gave last week...

@jayden08 There is a section in this forum called “International Students”. I think you’ll be able to get an answer there. This thread is for express entry. Edit: Looks like you already posted there.
