Anyone who applied at Ottawa in September received their SC yet? My Application was received by the Ottawa HC on Sep-12. Status still shows "under review".

Is it really possible to surrender the passport and apply for OCI simultaneously? My Indian passport is at the HCI under process for cancellation. I thought we needed the surrender certificate to apply for oci, maybe this is wrong.
