Hi, did you apply online or went in person to the Service Canada office? I applied online and I got the SIN within 10 days.

Please do not think of that!! Stay positive!! Things are starting to move albeit slowly, but all of us have already hit rock bottom in the past couple of months. I think it will get better in the coming months.

If you are going to get it from Service Canada, I do not think you need any proof of address. If you are applying online, then you need the proof. I submitted the request online with a Walmart grocery delivery receipt ( to my place of stay) and it got approved within a week.

Yes, you are right. Nobody can escape from this 14 days quarantine. It sucks! I am also put up in quarantine now.
